Meaty Casserole Bake (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Base

01 - 225 g rotini pasta, cooked just until firm

→ Meats

02 - 450 g ground beef
03 - 138 g slices of pepperoni

→ Dairy

04 - 226 g shredded mozzarella cheese
05 - 113 g shredded cheddar cheese (mild)

→ Sauce and Seasoning

06 - 680 g jar of marinara sauce
07 - 1 teaspoon blend of Italian herbs
08 - 0.5 teaspoon coarse kosher salt
09 - 0.25 teaspoon ground black pepper

# Instructions:

01 - Turn the oven to 190°C and get a 23x33 cm dish ready by spraying it lightly with nonstick spray.
02 - In a big pan over medium-high heat, toss in the ground beef. Sprinkle with some kosher salt and black pepper. Stir it around now and then, cooking for about 8-10 minutes until the beef is browned and fully cooked. Drain off the extra fat and set it aside.
03 - Take the skillet with the browned beef and add the cooked rotini, 113 g of the mozzarella, the pepperoni, the cheddar, marinara sauce, and Italian seasoning. Stir everything together so it's evenly combined.
04 - Pour the mixture into the dish you prepped earlier. Sprinkle the remaining 113 g of mozzarella evenly over the top.
05 - Pop the dish into the hot oven and bake for 25-30 minutes until the cheese is gooey and golden. Take it out and let it sit for a few minutes before serving. If you're feeling fancy, toss some fresh parsley on top.
