Heat up your oven to 375°F (190°C). Put parchment paper on your baking tray.

Roll out your pastry (it should be soft). Use a knife or heart-shaped cutter to make heart pieces.

Transfer the pastry shapes to your tray. Pop them in the fridge for 10 minutes to keep their form.

Put about a tablespoon of Nutella in the middle of half your hearts. Don’t go too close to the edges.

Lay another heart-shaped piece on top of each Nutella-covered one. Seal edges with your fingers or press with a fork.

Stir the egg and water together. Lightly coat pastries with this mixture for a golden look.

Bake for 15 to 18 minutes or until they’re puffy and golden. Let them cool down for a bit.

Sprinkle powdered sugar on top if you’d like. Serve with some berries or whipped cream for extra flair.
