Honey Chicken Pasta (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Base

01 - fresh basil leaves
02 - a pinch of salt and black pepper
03 - 5 slices of crispy bacon, crumbled up
04 - 16 ounces of corkscrew pasta
05 - 25 ounces of crispy chicken strips, breaded

→ Honey Pepper Sauce

06 - 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
07 - ¼ teaspoon cayenne for a little heat
08 - juice squeezed from 1 fresh lemon
09 - ¼ cup pineapple juice for a sweet touch
10 - 3 tablespoons soy sauce with reduced salt
11 - ¼ cup packed light brown sugar
12 - ¾ cup natural honey
13 - 1 tablespoon plain vinegar

→ Cheese Sauce

14 - 2-3 chopped garlic cloves
15 - ¾ cup colby jack cheese, freshly shredded
16 - ½ cup parmesan cheese, shredded
17 - 1 cup mozzarella cheese, freshly shredded
18 - 2 cups thick cream for richness
19 - 1 stick of butter

# Instructions:

01 - Follow package instructions to cook pasta and chicken strips.
02 - Blend all sauce ingredients in a pot, boil, then let it simmer for about 15 minutes until thicker.
03 - Melt the butter slowly, stirring in cream. Toss in each cheese one by one, then add garlic, salt, and pepper to taste.
04 - Toss the cheese sauce and bacon with the noodles. Coat the chicken strips with the honey pepper mixture.
05 - Layer the coated chicken on top of the pasta, then garnish with more bacon or fresh basil.
