Milk Syrup DIY (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1/4 teaspoon of salt.
02 - 2 cups of whole milk.
03 - 1 teaspoon of vanilla.
04 - Between 1/2 and 3/4 cup of sugar.

# Instructions:

01 - In a medium pot, combine milk, sugar, and salt. Use a whisk until the sugar is blended in over medium-high heat.
02 - Drop the heat to low and let it slowly bubble. Skip the whisking, but gently stir the bottom of the pot here and there for 30 to 45 minutes.
03 - You’ll know it’s ready when the amount is halved and the color turns rich like syrup. Mix in vanilla.
04 - If there’s froth or chunks, pour the mixture through a sieve. Allow it to cool down all the way.
05 - Store inside a sealed jar in the fridge. It’ll last up to a month. Heat slightly if you need to pour it easily.

# Notes:

01 - Try smaller pans for quicker cooking.
02 - Gets thicker once cool.
03 - Stop whisking after sugar is mixed in.
