Beef Taco Cabbage Skillet (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Key Ingredients

01 - 1 cup shredded cheese of your choice (cheddar works great)
02 - 500g of lean ground beef
03 - A quarter cup of water
04 - Half a head of cabbage, chopped small
05 - Dry minced onion, 1 tablespoon (or chop 1 medium fresh onion finely)
06 - 2 tablespoons of taco seasoning (double-check it's gluten-free if necessary)

# Instructions:

01 - Break up the ground beef in a large pan over medium heat as it cooks. Continue until the meat is browned evenly.
02 - Toss the cabbage, dry onion, taco seasoning, and water into the pan with the beef. Give it a good stir to blend everything together.
03 - Let the mixture cook, stirring now and then, until the cabbage softens just enough with a slight crunch, about 5 to 7 minutes.
04 - Spread the shredded cheese across the top of the skillet's contents. Cover the pan and let it heat for 2 or 3 minutes until the cheese is gooey and melted.
05 - Take the pan off the stove and serve right away while it's still hot and fresh.

# Notes:

01 - If gluten is a concern, ensure the taco seasoning you use is safe.
02 - For best results, eat leftovers within a day or two since the cabbage texture might change.
