02 - 2 cans (8-oz each) of tomato sauce
03 - 1 jar (24-oz) marinara sauce
04 - 1-1/4 lbs of ground beef or Italian sausage
05 - 12 sheets of lasagna pasta

→ Cheese Layer Mix

06 - 1 Tbsp parsley flakes (dried)
07 - 1 large egg, whisked
08 - A quarter cup of sour cream
09 - One soft block (8 oz) of cream cheese
10 - One container (24 oz) of cottage cheese

→ Toppings and Finishing Touches

11 - A half cup of parmesan (grated)
12 - 1 pound of sliced mozzarella

# Instructions:

01 - Set your oven to 375ºF and bring a pot of water to boil for the pasta. Once cooked, drain and let cool.
02 - Sauté ground meat in a medium skillet, drain the grease. Stir in the marinara, tomato sauce, and Italian seasoning. Let it bubble and thicken for 5 to 10 minutes.
03 - In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, cottage cheese, sour cream, whisked egg, and parsley.
04 - Coat a 9x13 pan with nonstick spray. Spread a thin layer of sauce, arrange 6 lasagna sheets overlapping, lengthwise.
05 - Layer the ingredients: half of the cheese mix, a third of the mozzarella, half of the meat sauce, and a sprinkle of parmesan. Do it again, finishing with cheese. Cover with foil.
06 - Bake with foil on for 25 minutes, then exposed for a further 30 until golden and bubbling. Let it sit for 15 minutes to settle before slicing.

# Notes:

01 - You can make it ahead and freeze it.
02 - If frozen, thaw it fully before baking.
03 - Feel free to use different meats if you'd like.
04 - Shredded mozzarella works as a swap for slices.
