Strawberry Kiss Cookies (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Wet Ingredients

01 - 1 cup (200g) white sugar
02 - 1 large egg, at room temp
03 - 1 cup (226g) unsalted butter, slightly soft
04 - 1/2 tsp almond flavor (optional)
05 - 1 tsp vanilla flavoring

→ Dry Ingredients

06 - 1 package (3 oz) strawberry gelatin powder
07 - 2 cups (250g) plain white flour
08 - 1/4 tsp table salt
09 - 1 tsp baking powder

→ Finishing Touches

10 - 1/4 cup powdered sugar for sprinkling on top
11 - 24-30 unwrapped chocolate kisses

# Instructions:

01 - Mix butter with sugar until it's smooth and creamy. Toss in the egg and both flavors, making sure everything blends perfectly together.
02 - Sprinkle in the strawberry gelatin and give it a good stir. Watch the dough turn into this beautiful pink that looks so fun!
03 - In a different bowl, stir together flour, salt, and baking powder. Add this mix bit by bit to the wet dough until you’ve got a smooth, soft batch.
04 - Take a spoonful of dough, roll it into a ball, and pop it onto your lined baking tray. Use your thumb to press a tiny dip in the top — it’s where your chocolate kiss will end up!
05 - Place them in a preheated oven at 350°F for 10-12 minutes. They should look set but still soft, with slight cracks forming.
06 - When the cookies are still a bit warm but not too hot, stick a chocolate kiss right in the dip you made earlier. It'll hold perfectly without turning into a puddle.
07 - Once the cookies cool all the way down, sprinkle a thin layer of powdered sugar over the tops for that perfect snowy effect!
