Blackened Shrimp (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Spice Mix

01 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
02 - 1 teaspoon cumin
03 - ½ teaspoon pepper
04 - 1 teaspoon dried oregano
05 - 2 teaspoons brown sugar
06 - 1 tablespoon chili powder
07 - 1 tablespoon paprika
08 - 1 teaspoon salt

→ Main

09 - 1 tablespoon olive oil
10 - 4 cloves minced garlic
11 - 1½ pounds uncooked peeled shrimp

→ Garnish

12 - lime wedges
13 - chopped fresh cilantro

# Instructions:

01 - Combine spices in a bowl. Toss shrimp in mix. Let sit for half an hour.
02 - Warm oil in a big skillet. Sear shrimp on each side for 2 minutes.
03 - Stir in garlic and cook briefly, under a minute. Top it all off with lime and cilantro.

# Notes:

01 - Defrost frozen shrimp fully before cooking.
02 - For pre-cooked shrimp, just cook for 30 seconds on each side.
