Spiced Waffles (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 2 cups plain flour.
02 - 1 teaspoon baking soda.
03 - 1 teaspoon baking powder.
04 - 3/4 teaspoon table salt.
05 - 1/4 teaspoon cloves, ground.
06 - 1/4 cup white sugar.
07 - 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon powder.
08 - 1 teaspoon powdered ginger.
09 - 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg powder.
10 - 1/2 cup unsweetened Greek yogurt.
11 - 4 large eggs (yolks and whites separate).
12 - 1 cup cold milk.
13 - 3 tablespoons dark molasses.
14 - 1/3 cup light vegetable oil.
15 - 1/2 cup butter (for making syrup).
16 - 1 cup sugar (for the syrup).
17 - 2 teaspoons vanilla (for syrup).
18 - 1 cup heavy whipping cream (for syrup).
19 - 1/2 teaspoon baking soda (for syrup).

# Instructions:

01 - In a big bowl, stir together the flour, sugar, all the spices, salt, baking soda, and baking powder.
02 - In a second bowl, mix the egg yolks with molasses, yogurt, milk, and oil until well blended.
03 - Whisk the egg whites until they form firm peaks that stay up.
04 - Stir the wet ingredients into the dry ones. Then gently fold in the whipped egg whites for a fluffy mixture.
05 - Cook the batter in your waffle maker. Grease it first and follow the maker's guidelines.
06 - In a pan, simmer the butter, sugar, and cream until it boils. Cook for 3-5 more minutes, then stir in the vanilla and baking soda.
