01 -
In a bowl, stir the milk, condensed milk, sugar, egg, and yeast together. Once mixed, add the salt and flour. Mix until the dough starts forming, then add the butter and keep mixing. Move the mixture to a floured surface.
02 -
Work the dough on the countertop until it feels smooth and stretchy. Form it into a round shape, place it in a greased bowl, and cover it tightly. Let it rise for about an hour or until it puffs up to twice its original size.
03 -
Press down on the dough to release trapped air, then cut it in half. Flatten one half into a rectangle, roll it up snugly, and seal the seam at the end. Repeat the process for the other portion.
04 -
Slice each roll into seven pieces. Line a baking pan with parchment paper and place seven pieces inside. Do the same for the second batch of dough. Cover them and let them rest for 45 minutes.
05 -
Make an egg wash by beating an egg with milk. Brush it over the top of the risen dough. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 20 to 22 minutes, keeping an eye on the golden color.
06 -
Mix softened butter and sweetened condensed milk into a spreadable glaze. Let the bread cool for a few minutes, then brush the glaze over the top.
