Shrimp Pasta Caribbean Fusion (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

β†’ Base

01 - 1 pound shrimp, deveined and peeled
02 - 2 tablespoons olive oil
03 - 2 tablespoons jerk seasoning, split
04 - 12 ounces penne pasta

β†’ Vegetables

05 - 1 yellow bell pepper, sliced
06 - 1 green bell pepper, sliced
07 - 1 red bell pepper, sliced
08 - 2 green onions, chopped
09 - 3 garlic cloves, minced

β†’ Sauce

10 - 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
11 - 1 cup thick cream
12 - Half a cup of vegetable or chicken broth
13 - Add salt and black pepper as needed
14 - Use fresh herbs like parsley or cilantro for decoration

# Instructions:

01 - Boil the penne in salted water following the instructions on the package. Strain the water and put it aside.
02 - Mix 1 tablespoon jerk seasoning with shrimp. Heat oil and cook shrimp for a couple of minutes on each side until it turns pink. Take shrimp off the pan.
03 - Cook the bell peppers in the same skillet until they soften. Toss in minced garlic and stir for another minute.
04 - Pour broth into the pan to scrape up any browned bits. Mix in cream, Parmesan, and the remaining jerk seasoning until it’s creamy.
05 - Stir the pasta into the sauce, toss in shrimp, and sprinkle fresh herbs and green onions as a finishing touch.

# Notes:

01 - Change the amount of jerk seasoning to your preference
02 - Feel free to use any type of bell peppers you like
03 - You can switch chicken broth with vegetable broth if needed
