Shrimp Dirty Rice Delight (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Protein

01 - 1 lb hamburger meat
02 - 1 lb ground pork sausage
03 - 10-12 shrimp, tail off and deveined

→ Base

04 - 4 cups cooked rice
05 - 2 cups chicken broth

→ Vegetables

06 - 1.5 cups mixed onions and bell peppers, chopped

→ Seasonings

07 - 1 tsp seafood seasoning
08 - 1 tbsp oregano
09 - 3 tsp minced garlic
10 - 1 tsp thyme
11 - 1 tbsp garlic powder
12 - 1 tsp onion powder
13 - 1 tsp chili powder
14 - 1/2 tsp pepper
15 - 1/2 tsp salt
16 - Pinch of cayenne pepper

→ Other

17 - 3 tbsp vegetable oil, divided
18 - 1/4 cup flour

# Instructions:

01 - Season shrimp with seafood seasoning.
02 - Over medium-high heat, add 2 tbsp vegetable oil and cook shrimp on each side for 2-3 minutes until they form a 'C' shape. Remove from pan.
03 - In a large skillet, add 1 tbsp vegetable oil and ground meats. Once the meat begins to brown, add onions, bell peppers, and garlic.
04 - Once the meat has fully browned, stir in seasonings. Then add flour, stirring well to combine.
05 - Pour in broth and let the mixture simmer for 5-7 minutes.
06 - Add cooked rice and simmer for an additional 5 minutes. Stir shrimp back in and mix thoroughly. Serve immediately.
