Sausage Gravy Biscuit Pizza (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Gravy Base

01 - 1 pound crumbled breakfast sausage
02 - 2 cups milk
03 - ¼ cup plain flour
04 - ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
05 - Pinch of optional red pepper flakes
06 - ½ teaspoon salt (adjust as needed)
07 - ¼ teaspoon onion powder
08 - ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper

→ Garnishes

09 - 1½ cups shredded cheddar (mix with mozzarella, if desired)
10 - Fresh parsley for optional sprinkling
11 - 4 large eggs, lightly scrambled

→ Crust Base

12 - One can (8-count) of pre-made biscuit dough
13 - 1 tablespoon melted butter for basting

# Instructions:

01 - Set your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking sheet or pizza pan.
02 - Flatten biscuits and overlap them to form a circular base. Press edges together to raise them. Use butter to coat the top.
03 - Bake the dough for about 10-12 minutes, or until the outside is nicely browned. Take it out and put it aside.
04 - On medium heat, brown the sausage in a skillet. Once cooked, stir in the flour.
05 - Pour in the milk a little at a time, stirring as you go. Toss in the spices and cook until it thickens, about 5-7 minutes.
06 - Lightly scramble the eggs in a pan. Stop cooking while they're still creamy.
07 - Spread the sausage gravy evenly over the cooled crust base. Add the scrambled eggs on top, then sprinkle with cheese.
08 - Bake again for 5-7 minutes. The cheese should fully melt and start to bubble.
09 - Add parsley for a fresh pop of color. Cut into slices and serve warm.

# Notes:

01 - Swap in turkey sausage for a leaner dish.
02 - Add veggies like diced peppers or mushrooms for more flavor.
03 - Bake the crust a bit longer for extra crunch.
