In a large pot, on medium to high heat, heat the oil and add the onions, browning them well.

Add the chillies, garlic, and half a cup of water to the pot. Cook the onions for 10 minutes.

Add the sausage, salt, pepper, and potatoes. Cook for about 8 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Add a cup of water and continue cooking until the potatoes are soft.

Serve hot with white rice and atchar for added flavor.
