Roasted Sweet Potatoes (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 2 tablespoons avocado oil or extra-virgin olive oil
02 - 2 pounds of Jewel or Red Garnet yams (sweet potatoes)
03 - ¾ teaspoon kosher salt, sea salt, or ½ teaspoon table salt
04 - ¼ teaspoon black pepper
05 - ½ teaspoon of cinnamon
06 - ½ teaspoon garlic powder
07 - ½ teaspoon chili powder
08 - ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
09 - Optional: 1 tablespoon real maple syrup

# Instructions:

01 - Set your oven to 425°F and prep a large 15x21 tray with parchment—two smaller ones work too.
02 - Peel the potatoes. If they're unsteady, slice a thin piece off the base to steady them before chopping into ½-inch rounds, then cubes.
03 - Throw the cubed pieces onto your tray, drizzle with oil and syrup (if using), then toss to coat with the seasonings.
04 - Arrange the pieces in one layer so they don't touch or overcrowd the pan.
05 - Pop them in the oven for 25-35 minutes. Move them around halfway at the 15-minute mark.
