Steak Queso Rice (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 1 lb steak, cut into thin strips
02 - 1 teaspoon chili powder
03 - Salt and pepper to season
04 - 1 cup queso cheese sauce
05 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
06 - 2 cups cooked white rice
07 - 1 tablespoon olive oil

→ Optional Toppings

08 - 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
09 - 1/2 cup diced tomatoes

# Instructions:

01 - Warm up some olive oil in a big skillet over medium heat. Toss in the steak strips, then season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and chili powder. Let it cook until the meat is tender and browned, about 5-7 minutes.
02 - Lower the heat and pour the queso cheese sauce over the steak. Give it a good stir so the steak gets fully coated, then heat it gently.
03 - Dump the cooked rice into the skillet, then mix it all up with the steak and cheesy sauce.
04 - Want a fresher kick? Mix in the diced tomatoes if you'd like.
05 - Serve it warm, and if you like, sprinkle freshly chopped cilantro on top.

# Notes:

01 - Feel free to add extras like sliced avocado or jalapeños.
02 - This dish is a great one-pan option for busy weeknights.
