Peanut Chocolate Balls (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 2 cups Rice Krispies cereal, lightly crushed.
02 - 1 cup powdered sugar.
03 - 1 cup peanut butter (smooth or with chunks).
04 - ΒΌ cup butter, softened to room temperature.
05 - 2 tablespoons vegetable shortening.
06 - 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips.

# Instructions:

01 - Grab a cookie sheet and cover it with wax or parchment paper.
02 - Mix peanut butter, butter, and powdered sugar in a big bowl until creamy. Fold in the cereal gently till it's all blended.
03 - Roll into small balls, put them onto the prepared cookie sheet, and place in the fridge for at least half an hour to chill.
04 - In a microwave-safe bowl, toss in the chocolate chips and shortening. Heat for 1 minute, stir, then microwave in 20-30 second bursts, stirring each time, until smooth and lump-free.
05 - Dip the chilled balls into the melted chocolate. Let them sit on the sheet until they firm up.
06 - Keep them in the fridge inside a sealed container for a few days, or stash in the freezer for weeks if needed.

01 - Crunchy or smooth peanut butter works fine.
02 - Freezer-friendly for up to a few weeks.
