Key West Lime Pie (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 can of sweetened condensed milk.
02 - 8 tablespoons of melted butter.
03 - 1 1/4 cups of crushed graham crackers.
04 - 1 tablespoon of regular sugar.
05 - Half a cup of fresh lime juice.
06 - 3 egg yolks.
07 - 2 1/2 tablespoons of grated lime peel.
08 - Whipped cream for topping, if you'd like.

# Instructions:

01 - Turn on your oven and set it to 350°F.
02 - In a mixing bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and sugar until the mixture feels damp.
03 - Press the crumb mix into a glass pie dish, pushing it across the bottom and up the sides evenly. Bake for 8 minutes so it turns a light golden color.
04 - While the crust bakes, whisk the sweetened condensed milk, egg yolks, lime juice, and zest all together in a bowl.
05 - Take the crust out of the oven, pour in the filling, smooth the surface, and bake for around 15–20 minutes until it sets.
06 - Let the pie cool off entirely before covering it and putting it in the fridge.
07 - Slice the pie into eight portions and, if you want, put some whipped cream on top before serving.

# Notes:

01 - Make sure the pie is fully cool before placing it in the fridge.
