Husband Casserole Dinner (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Main

01 - 2 cups pasta (rotini or elbow), cooked and drained
02 - 1 small onion, diced
03 - 1 lb ground beef
04 - ½ cup sour cream
05 - 1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
06 - 1 (10 oz) can cream of mushroom soup
07 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
08 - Salt and pepper, to taste
09 - 1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce
10 - 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
11 - Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, as topping)

# Instructions:

01 - Set your oven to 350°F (175°C) to warm up. Coat a 9x13-inch dish lightly with grease.
02 - In a big skillet, brown the ground beef along with the onions until the meat’s cooked through and the onions soften. Drain the fat, then flavor it with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
03 - Combine tomato sauce, sour cream, and cream of mushroom soup into the cooked meat mixture. Stir it all up until it’s mixed well and heated.
04 - Place half of the pasta into the prepared dish. Layer on top half of the meat mixture and sprinkle with half the cheddar cheese. Repeat the same for a second layer: pasta, meat mixture, and cheddar cheese.
05 - Evenly spread the mozzarella cheese across the topmost layer.
06 - Cover the dish using foil and let it bake for 20 minutes. After that, take the foil off and bake it for 10 more minutes until the cheese melts and gets bubbly.

# Notes:

01 - You can swap the beef for ground chicken or turkey if you want.
02 - Cream of chicken soup works as a stand-in for mushroom soup.
