Dissolve yeast in sugar water. Wait until it bubbles, roughly 5 minutes.

Combine the yeast water with salt and oil. Slowly stir in flour, knead till it's smooth. Cover it up and rest for about 10 minutes.

Split the dough into four pieces. Flatten into circles, then adjust into hearts. Put them on cornmeal-lined parchment and poke little holes with a fork.

Spread marinara sauce, layer on the cheese, and arrange pepperoni slices on each heart.

Pop them in a 450°F oven for 12 to 15 minutes till golden. Coat the crust with garlic butter once it’s out.
