01 - 1/4 cup soy sauce
02 - 3 tablespoons brown sugar
03 - 1 cup water, divided
04 - 2 tablespoons honey
05 - 3 garlic cloves, minced
06 - 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated or minced
07 - 2 tablespoons corn starch
08 - 1 tablespoon orange zest

→ Stir Fry

09 - 1 pound ground turkey
10 - 2 teaspoons sesame oil
11 - 3 cups broccoli florets, fresh or frozen
12 - 1 small onion, diced
13 - 1 cup shredded carrots
14 - Salt and pepper to taste

# Instructions:

01 - Combine 3/4 cup water, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, honey, and brown sugar in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir to combine. Bring to a low boil. Whisk 1/4 cup water and cornstarch together until fully dissolved. Slowly stir in the cornstarch mixture and allow it to thicken. Remove from heat, stir in the orange zest, and set aside.
02 - Heat sesame oil in a wok or skillet over medium-high heat. Sauté the onion for several minutes until softened. Add the ground turkey and cook until fully browned and the internal temperature reaches 165°F, about 7-10 minutes.
03 - Stir in the broccoli and carrots and cook until tender. Reduce the heat to low and add the prepared Teriyaki sauce. Simmer for several minutes until heated through.
04 - Serve over rice or as desired. Optional toppings include sesame seeds and green onion.

# Notes:

01 - Ground chicken, pork, or beef can be substituted for turkey. Drain excess grease if using beef.
02 - For added spice, include cayenne, red pepper flakes, or sriracha.
03 - Vegetables such as snow peas, bell peppers, or baby corn can be added.
04 - Serve with rice, cauliflower rice, noodles, or as lettuce wraps.
05 - If the teriyaki sauce is too thick, thin it with additional water.
