Fried Cabbage with Bacon (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 head of cabbage, chopped
02 - 1 onion, chopped
03 - 2 teaspoons minced garlic
04 - 5 strips of bacon, cooked and crumbled
05 - Reserved bacon grease
06 - ½ teaspoon onion powder
07 - ½ teaspoon garlic powder
08 - Salt, to taste
09 - Pepper, to taste

# Instructions:

01 - Cook the bacon until crispy, then set it aside to cool. Reserve the bacon grease for later use.
02 - Place the reserved bacon grease in a deep-sided pot or skillet, and cook the chopped onion over medium heat until softened.
03 - Add the minced garlic to the pot and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
04 - Reduce the heat to medium-low, add the chopped cabbage to the pot, and stir. Cover the pot and let the cabbage simmer until softened.
05 - Stir in the onion powder, garlic powder, and salt and pepper to taste. Sauté for another 2-3 minutes.
06 - Add the crumbled bacon on top of the cooked cabbage mixture and serve warm.
