Fluffy Parmesan Garlic Rolls (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Dough ingredients

01 - 1 teaspoon salt
02 - 1 large egg
03 - 1¼ cups warm water (95-105°F)
04 - 3½ cups all-purpose flour
05 - 2 tablespoons instant yeast or platinum yeast
06 - ¼ cup granulated sugar
07 - ⅓ cup canola oil

→ Topping ingredients

08 - 2 teaspoons parsley
09 - ¼ cup grated or shredded Parmesan cheese
10 - 2 tablespoons granulated garlic
11 - 4 tablespoons melted butter

# Instructions:

01 - Grab a baking sheet, lay down parchment paper or a reusable non-stick mat, and set it aside.
02 - Stir warm water, sugar, and yeast in a big bowl. Let it rest for 2-5 minutes until it looks bubbly.
03 - Add oil, salt, the egg, and the flour gradually to the yeast mix. Stir everything together until smooth, adding a bit of extra flour if it's sticking too much.
04 - Cut the dough into 16 even parts, then roll each piece into a small ball.
05 - Arrange the rolls on your prepped baking sheet. Let them puff up by resting in a cozy spot for about 5-10 minutes.
06 - Brush the risen rolls with melted butter. Sprinkle garlic, Parmesan, and parsley generously on top.
07 - Set your oven to 375°F and bake the rolls for 18-20 minutes, or until they turn golden on top.
08 - Once baked, brush the rolls with some extra melted butter to finish.

# Notes:

01 - Yeast proofs best between 95-105°F. Keep it below 115°F, or the yeast will die.
02 - Minimal kneading keeps this dough light and easy to work with, but a little gluten formation helps make airy bread.
03 - For a richer twist, swap the water for milk and try using fat-free Greek yogurt in place of the egg; this idea came from one of our readers!
