In a tiny pot, mix sugar with water on medium heat until the sugar dissolves. Swirl the pan around while cooking until it becomes a golden amber color.

Pour in the heavy cream while whisking. Don’t worry if it bubbles up a lot—it’s normal! Keep mixing until everything blends nicely.

Stir in vanilla extract and butter one at a time. Use it however you like!
