04 - 1 tsp fine salt
05 - 1 tsp garlic powder
06 - 1/2 tsp oregano, dried
07 - 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper
08 - 1/2 tsp ground black pepper

→ Creamy Sauce

09 - 3 tbsp butter (unsalted)
10 - 1/2 tbsp minced fresh garlic
11 - 1 cup of heavy cream
12 - 1/2 cup broth made from chicken
13 - 1 tsp fresh lemon juice
14 - 2 tbsp soft cream cheese
15 - Grated parmesan, 1/2 to 3/4 cup, depending on your taste
16 - A sprinkle of salt and black pepper, to your liking
17 - 1 tbsp parsley, chopped fine
18 - 2 tbsp basil leaves, roughly chopped

# Instructions:

01 - Put salmon fillets on a flat surface. Coat them with olive oil, then toss them with the Italian seasoning, oregano, salt, garlic powder, black pepper, and some chili flakes.
02 - In a hot pan with oil, sear each side of the salmon for 3 minutes or so until it's crispy and golden. Lower the heat and let it cook through completely. Move salmon out of the pan.
03 - Using the same skillet, drop in the butter over medium heat. Cook the garlic in the melted butter for a minute or two, stirring occasionally.
04 - Pour in the heavy cream, chicken broth, and a splash of lemon juice. Let it simmer for a few minutes. Mix in parmesan and cream cheese until the mixture thickens up. Toss in salt and pepper as needed.
05 - Mix basil and parsley into the sauce. Place the cooked salmon back in and heat for a few moments before serving it all together.

# Notes:

01 - Makes a speedy meal, done in under half an hour
02 - Toss sautéed onions into the sauce if that’s your thing
03 - Play with the parmesan amount to get the sauce how you like it
