Pecan Cheese Spread (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1/4 cup of packed brown sugar.
02 - 8 ounces of cream cheese, softened at room temp.
03 - 1 clove of garlic, minced finely.
04 - 2 tablespoons of onion, grated.
05 - 1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce.
06 - 1/4 cup of unsalted butter, cut into small chunks.
07 - 3/4 cup of toasted pecans, chopped into small pieces.
08 - 1/2 teaspoon of spicy brown mustard.
09 - A variety of strong crackers for dipping.

# Instructions:

01 - Mix the softened cream cheese with the grated onion and minced garlic in a small bowl until blended smoothly. Press into a 6-inch round on your serving dish. Wrap in plastic and stick in the fridge for an hour. Before adding the pecan topping, let it sit out a bit to warm up closer to room temp.
02 - Melt the butter in a small pan over medium heat. Stir in the brown sugar, mustard, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir constantly for 2-3 minutes until the sugar's dissolved. Turn off the heat and mix in the nuts.
03 - Let the pecan mixture cool down for a few minutes. Pour it over the cream cheese, letting it drip down the edges.
04 - Serve it immediately alongside crackers.

# Notes:

01 - The cheese layer can be prepped in advance.
02 - Pour the warm pecan topping right before serving time.
