Creamy Buttery Shrimp Bake (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 4 ounces medium cheddar cheese, shredded
02 - 1/2 cup breadcrumbs, panko style
03 - 1 tablespoon salt for boiling water
04 - 4 ounces mozzarella cheese, shredded
05 - 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, ground
06 - 2/3 cup mayo
07 - 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
08 - 1 tablespoon Old Bay spice blend
09 - 2 pounds shrimp, deveined and peeled
10 - 1 tablespoon butter, plus extra for greasing

# Instructions:

01 - Heat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Use butter to grease a casserole dish that holds 2 1/2 quarts.
02 - Fill a big pot with water, add salt and Old Bay seasoning, and bring it to a boil. Toss in the shrimp, cook until they’re just opaque (this takes about half a minute), then drain and place in a bowl.
03 - Stir mayonnaise, garlic powder, and pepper into the shrimp until they’re well coated. Toss in the cheeses and give it another mix before spreading the mixture in your greased dish.
04 - Melt some butter. Mix it with the breadcrumbs and sprinkle them over the shrimp mixture evenly.
05 - Pop the dish in the oven and bake, uncovered, for 13 to 15 minutes. Once the middle hits 145°F, broil for a minute or two to toast the top. Let it cool for about 15 minutes before digging in.

# Notes:

01 - Cook the shrimp briefly so they don’t end up rubbery.
02 - Grating cheese yourself makes it melt nicely and boosts the taste.
03 - Want an extra crunchy topping? Broil it for a couple of extra minutes!
