Baklava Cream Cookies (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Base Layer

01 - ½ cup honey
02 - ¼ cup chopped walnuts
03 - 1½ cups all-purpose flour
04 - ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
05 - ¼ cup chopped pistachios
06 - ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
07 - ½ cup granulated sugar
08 - ¼ teaspoon salt
09 - ¼ teaspoon ground cardamom

→ Filling & Topping

10 - ¼ cup powdered sugar
11 - ¼ cup caramel sauce
12 - ¼ cup cream cheese, softened
13 - Extra pistachios and walnuts, finely chopped, for sprinkling

# Instructions:

01 - Set oven to 350°F. Cover a baking tray with parchment paper.
02 - Whisk butter with sugar until it turns creamy. Pour in honey. In a separate bowl, stir together dry ingredients, then mix into the butter combo. Gently stir in the chopped nuts.
03 - Form the dough into small balls, press them down slightly. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges barely start to turn a golden color.
04 - As the cookies cool, whip the cream cheese and powdered sugar together until they're smooth.
05 - Spread that filling between two cookies to make sandwiches. Drizzle caramel on top and sprinkle with nuts for a fun finish.
