# Ingredients:

01 - 1 cup maraschino cherries, drained and chopped
02 - 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
03 - 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
04 - 1 cup packed brown sugar
05 - 2 large eggs
06 - 1 cup granulated sugar
07 - 1 teaspoon baking soda
08 - 1/2 teaspoon salt
09 - 3 cups all-purpose flour
10 - 1 cup unsalted butter, softened

# Instructions:

01 - Turn your oven on to 350°F (175°C) and get those baking sheets ready with some parchment paper.
02 - Mix together the butter, the white sugar, and the brown sugar in a big bowl until it’s nice and fluffy.
03 - Add the eggs one at a time, mixing them in well. Then pour in the vanilla and stir it all together.
04 - In a different bowl, whisk the flour, salt, and baking soda together. Slowly add it to the butter mixture, stirring as you go.
05 - Carefully mix in the chopped cherries and chocolate chips until they’re spread throughout the dough.
06 - Scoop out balls of dough and space them out on the baking sheets you prepared earlier.
07 - Pop the trays into your preheated oven for around 10 to 12 minutes until the edges just start to turn golden.
08 - Let them sit on the baking trays for a bit before moving them over to cooling racks to finish cooling completely.

# Notes:

01 - Use a cookie scoop for even portions.
02 - Want more flavor? Mix in a splash of almond extract too.
