Cheesy Corn Dish (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 cup grated sharp cheddar cheese
02 - 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
03 - 18 oz frozen corn, thawed
04 - 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
05 - 1/2 teaspoon salt
06 - 1/3 cup milk
07 - 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
08 - 8 oz cream cheese, softened and cut into cubes

# Instructions:

01 - Turn the oven on to 350°F and lightly grease a baking dish that holds 2 quarts.
02 - Warm the butter and cream cheese in a medium-sized pot over low heat until it turns smooth. Stir in the milk once everything’s melted.
03 - Toss in the black pepper, salt, thawed corn, and cayenne pepper (if you’re using it). Give it all a good stir so it’s evenly combined.
04 - Pour the mixture into the greased dish. Spread it out evenly, then sprinkle the grated cheese on top.
05 - Slide the dish into the oven and bake for 20 minutes. It’s ready when the top is golden and bubbling.
06 - Take it out of the oven and leave it to rest for a few minutes before dishing it up.
