Cheesy Beef Rice Bake (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Base

01 - 1 medium onion, diced up
02 - ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
03 - 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
04 - 1 pound of ground beef
05 - 1 teaspoon of paprika for flavor
06 - 1 teaspoon of salt to taste
07 - 1½ cups of cooked plain white rice
08 - 1 cup sour cream
09 - 1 can of cream of mushroom soup (10.5 oz)
10 - ½ cup milk
11 - ½ cup frozen peas, optional ingredient
12 - 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded (save 1 cup for topping)
13 - 1 tablespoon of fresh parsley, finely chopped (optional for decoration)

# Instructions:

01 - Set your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease up a baking dish, 9x13 inches.
02 - Sauté the beef, onion, and garlic in a skillet until browned. Sprinkle in salt, pepper, and paprika. Scoop off any extra grease.
03 - In a big bowl, mix the sour cream, milk, and soup. Add the warm beef mixture, rice, 1 cup cheese, and peas (if you're using them). Give it a good stir.
04 - Spoon everything into your greased dish and scatter the leftover cheese across the top.
05 - Pop it in the oven for 25-30 minutes. Look for gooey, bubbly goodness with a bit of browning on the cheese.
06 - After taking it out of the oven, let it sit a few minutes. Throw on some parsley (if you want), then dig in while it’s warm.

# Notes:

01 - The rice needs to be cooked beforehand.
02 - You can make this in advance and chill it before baking.
