Set your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease up a baking dish, 9x13 inches.

Sauté the beef, onion, and garlic in a skillet until browned. Sprinkle in salt, pepper, and paprika. Scoop off any extra grease.

In a big bowl, mix the sour cream, milk, and soup. Add the warm beef mixture, rice, 1 cup cheese, and peas (if you're using them). Give it a good stir.

Spoon everything into your greased dish and scatter the leftover cheese across the top.

Pop it in the oven for 25-30 minutes. Look for gooey, bubbly goodness with a bit of browning on the cheese.
