Cheesy Beef Beans (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 2 (14 oz) cans kidney beans.
02 - 1 1/2 cups chunky salsa.
03 - 8 ounces sharp cheddar cheese.
04 - 1 pound ground beef (90/10).
05 - 1 (14 oz) can diced tomatoes.
06 - 1 tablespoon chili powder.

# Instructions:

01 - Turn your oven to 400°F so it's ready to go.
02 - Using a large skillet, cook the ground beef on medium heat until it's not pink inside.
03 - Carefully remove the fat from the skillet to avoid a greasy dish.
04 - Blend the diced tomatoes in a food processor until smooth and saucy.
05 - Pour the kidney beans into a 9x13 baking dish without greasing it.
06 - Mix the pureed tomatoes and cooked beef together, then add them to the dish.
07 - Mix the salsa and chili powder into the dish until it's blended well.
08 - Spread the mixture evenly so it covers the whole baking dish.
09 - Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over everything.
10 - Seal the baking dish tightly with aluminum foil.
11 - Place it in the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes until it's warmed through.
12 - Take off the foil and let it bake another 5-10 minutes until the cheese is golden.
13 - Give it a rest for 5 minutes before you dig in.
