Better Dark Nut Cups (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 1 tablespoon crushed cashews or almonds
02 - 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
03 - 1 cup chopped dark chocolate (85% or more)
04 - 1/2 cup almond butter (or cashew butter)
05 - 1/4 teaspoon fine sea salt

# Instructions:

01 - Put 8-10 mini liners into a mini muffin tin.
02 - Warm the chocolate in the microwave in 30-second bursts, stirring until it’s smooth.
03 - Add a teaspoon of melted chocolate to each liner. Swirl it around to coat the bottom. Freeze for 5 minutes to harden.
04 - Stir the almond or cashew butter together with the vanilla and salt in a small bowl.
05 - Scoop a 1/2 teaspoon of the nut mixture onto each chocolate base and press it down gently.
06 - Pour the rest of the melted chocolate over the nut layer so it’s fully covered.
07 - Scatter some crushed nuts on top for a little crunch.
08 - Put the cups in the freezer until firm, about 15-20 minutes. Store them in the fridge or freezer to keep fresh.

# Notes:

01 - High-quality dark chocolate (85% or more) has less sugar than typical candy.
02 - You can keep these in a sealed container in the fridge for 2 weeks or in the freezer for up to a couple of months.
03 - For the best texture, let frozen cups warm up at room temperature for 5 minutes before eating.
