Banana Oat Crisp (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Topping

01 - 4 tablespoons cold butter, diced into cubes
02 - ¼ cup all-purpose flour
03 - ¼ cup old-fashioned oats
04 - ¼ cup packed light or dark brown sugar
05 - ¾ cup toasted pecans

→ Filling

06 - 6 medium bananas, sliced into 1-inch pieces
07 - ½ cup light or dark brown sugar
08 - 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
09 - ⅛ teaspoon salt
10 - 2 tablespoons butter
11 - ¼ cup fresh orange juice

→ Serving

12 - Whipped cream or vanilla ice cream

# Instructions:

01 - In a bowl, mix the flour, brown sugar, and oats. Use your fingers to blend in the butter until it looks crumbly. Toss in the pecans and pop it in the fridge while you get the filling ready.
02 - Warm butter in a 10-inch skillet over a low flame. Stir in the brown sugar until it melts, which takes about 3 minutes. Sprinkle in some cinnamon and salt, then carefully mix in the orange juice (it'll bubble up a bit!). Let it cook for a minute until it thickens slightly.
03 - Gently add the banana pieces into the pan and coat them evenly with the sauce. Spread everything out in one layer.
04 - Once you've turned off the heat, sprinkle the chilled topping over the bananas. Bake in a 350°F oven for 20 minutes or until the topping looks golden and crunchy.
05 - Allow it to cool in the skillet for about 10 minutes before serving it with whipped cream or ice cream.

# Notes:

01 - Tastes best when served warm
02 - Can be baked in any oven-friendly skillet
